The Ghost Research Society was formed as a clearing house for reports of ghosts, ghost, poltergeist and life after death encounters. Community members actively research and investigate all reports that come in their way, including private homes and businesses. Society also analyzes alleged spirit photos, video and audio tapes that they come across from ordinary people or members of the public.

We are very active in research and ghosts have been investigating the very haunted locations as: Bobby Mackey's Music World, Prospect Place, Waverly Hills Sanitarium, Mansfield Reformatory, Moundsville Prison, Ft. Mifflin, Antietam and Gettysburg Battlefield, Nemacolin Castle, Lincoln Theater, Theatre Guild, Lemp Mansion, McPike Mansion, Mineral Springs Hotel, Cheney House, Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, Ethyl's Party, Excalibur Club, Havencrest Castle, Starved Rock, Brumder Mansion, Fredericksburg Battlefield, Buxton Inn, Regent Theater, Stratford Inn, Egyptian Theatre, Paci's Lounge, Tomb X, Greenwood Cemetery, as well as several hundred other public and private homes across the country and in England and Wales.

The Ghost Research Society employs a special device to detect the presence of ghosts.
